synasty“Hi, Elsa!

What about multiple “fate” indicators on a synastry and composite charts? What do you do when you find cases where its clear it was meant to be? Do you try to get to the bottom of why this was fated? If so, is there a way to find the “purpose”? What’s the lesson to be learned?

I mean wild synastries, like vertex/vertex + ascendant conjunct ascendant to the degree + north node conjunct ascendant on the composite + many other shocking to the degree conjunctions and indicators on every possible technique.”

This is a very good series of questions.  I’m happy to share my thinking on them, with this understanding: I am not trying to speak for all astrology.  These are my personal views, derived from my personal experience and understanding.  They may conflict with views of other astrologers.

I would never see two charts and decide it was clear the two people are meant to be.  I’ve seen too many situations where the synastry is great, but the people hate each other.

Astrology is a great help, but it’s limited. It cannot direct a person’s free will, for example.  There are also things in relationships that are simply unquantifiable.  Call it the God Factor or something.  It exists but it can’t be computer or calibrated.

Do you try to get to the bottom of why this was fated?

Personally speaking, I don’t, mostly because I don’t think this is possible. Bottom? There is no bottom.

What’s the lesson to be learned?

Same thing, here.  It’s not a “lesson”, it’s lessons. Or if you want to wrap it together, it’s an ongoing lesson.

Also, while I feel relationships are educational and I personally learn a lot from them, some people learn nothing or very little. Learning is optional.

Point here is the astrology is not in charge here.  The people are.

This is funny, because I would not weigh anything you’ve mentioned, that heavily, in terms of coming to the conclusion two people are meant to be together.  Life just doesn’t work like that. It’s full of mystery and wonder.  Further, people are fickle.

I heard Paul Simon sing about this when I was kid. He’s right here: You’re Kind.
