Weekend Love Forecast – Control The Narrative

bookOver the next few weeks, Aries Venus trines Leo Mars. Fiery and active, pursuing our desires and goals is life-affirming and FEELS GREAT. It’s particularly beneficial this weekend as we move through practical tensions due to fundamental differences on our way to Monday’s full moon in Scorpio.

Friday night, the airy Libra Moon delights in a grand trine with Gemini Jupiter and Aquarius Pallas. It’s an intellectual powerhouse meeting of the minds or a gaggle of giggles on the gossip promenade (possibly both). In any case, words, thoughts, and attitudes are flying — with Mercury at the last degree of Aries.

The arena is pleasant and upbeat, but air feeds fire. Mercury already squares retro Pluto in Aquarius (out of sign), and what arises may have some shame or taboo attached. Aries Mercury is literally fighting words. BUT, there’s plenty of grace in the mix, so awareness is likely enough to keep things on an even keel. There’s plenty to be gained by airing issues or grievances under such a receptive sky. Yes there’s a clash, but that clash can be bested — with good results for everyone. Better now than when things are rotten or growly.

Early Saturday, Mars perfects its square to Scorpio Vesta as Mercury moves to Taurus. Differences in motivation peak as expression and understanding shift into anchored Taurus. This banks our fires, but it also entrenches our assertions, if we let it. It’s an influence, not an order. Mercury squares retro Pluto through Tuesday: we may retain or shed our deeply held prejudices or longterm mental shame.

Clinging exacerbates the tension for longer. Addressing clashes lances the boil. Whether or not we can actually keep something secret forever is one thing; but if you choose your moment, you have more control.

Saturday night, the Moon moves to Scorpio and a tense t-square with Mercury and retro Pluto. Vesta-Mars showed us where we have differences between our pledged devotion and our urge to forge a new path. This can be alongside another or solely within ourself. This inward-turning, Plutonian mood brings the challenge to a head. If you don’t choose, this may be chosen for you. Cooperation is still possible, however. Find a way to get on the same side and make it a win for all. This can often be done by separating who you are from the problem at hand. Make the problem the enemy.

If there’s no real problem? This is sexy as all get out. Look at all that delicious psycho-sexual tension. Add in Venus-Mars and you’ve got an X-rated party.

Late Saturday through midday Sunday, the Scorpio Moon quincunxes Venus then moves to square Mars. You don’t have to participate in something that’s just not for you. If you don’t like it, end it (this can be done subtly or with great force). BUT, if you can move things around so you DO like it, this can be amazing. Concentrate on manipulating the interest side of things; otherwise, ego gets in the way. The mood is refined and supports a bit of a nudge.

By afternoon, the Scorpio Moon is heading toward Monday’s full moon opposition to the Taurus Sun. Mercury continues in square to retro Pluto, so continue to excavate your understanding and seek to be a depth detective, aerating the soil of your mind and your attitudes. Check in with how it all sits with your values.

The full moon will take place morning/midday Monday at 22 degrees of Scorpio. Where will this impact your chart? Do you have any weekend plans?
